Magpix (xMAP) is based on the ELISA test principles and uses technology of paramagnetic microsphere coated with antibodies. One panel gives the ability to simultaneously detect up to 50 markers in each sample.
The range of possibilities of using the Magpix system is very wide. Multiparameter tests are used,e.g. in medical diagnostics for the detection of autoimmune and infectious diseases, for the detection of tumor or cardiac markers, in allergy tests, in cell signaling, in the detection of cytokines, chemokines and growth factors, in the study of blood hormone levels and many others.
In our research, we use a wide range of the Merck Life Science’s (MILLIPLEX® MAP) and R&D Systems’ (Luminex assays) newest solutions. Data are analyzed with Merck Life Science’s Belysa Immunoassay Curve Fitting software.
